• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I went with the vector for the interior shape. I am almost certain that the profile is a little more oval than I really need. I have heard of the vectors being a little more oval than expected, but not as much as the profile. That should serve me well. I knew up front about the non-removable liner...that is unfortunate for such a pricey helmet. Regardless, I am willing to overlook if it comes close to meeting my expectations which are rather high for this helmet. I have done a tremendous amount of research on helmets in general. There are pros/cons to just about every brand/model you look at. Factors I considered: fit, airflow, noise, space for helmet speakers, liner/cheek pad performance for wicking away moisture, weight, balance, visor function and field of view and finally...overall comfort. I am certain I will need different cheek pads, but I'll assess that once I can validate fit on my head. I'll swap out cheek pads if needed.

The Profile is more oval than the Vector or the Corsair (which are pretty much the same head shape. The non-removable liner can be replaced. I've done it on several non-replacable models. Cheek pads, of course, are no sweat. You can use the Dry-Cool pads that come on the RX7 Corsair. Same identical pads except for the covering. They are about the same price too.
