I just want Spyders to continue to evolve and be successful, even if the changes were to ultimately push me in a different direction. I think a lot of folks confuse the name "spyder lovers" with the concept that every Spyder owner loves every Spyder. That is not the case. Sure there are some RS/RSS owners who would have a RT right now if there budget would allow and there are others(me for example) who loves the look of the RSS and wouldn't change models even though the features of the larger Spyders are awesome! Some of us only love our particular model and for different reasons wouldn't care to have the other. I am sure some RT owners laugh at us RS riders when it is cold and they have the heated seat going and some RS owners probably love the sporty ride of the RS over the extra comfort of the big boy of the Spyders. Now we have the F3 and whatever else BRP has up their sleeves and these models will have their die-hard owners as well...For me, I don't care if BRP ever makes another model that I like(I would be disappointed though) but I am forever grateful for the opportunity that they gave me with this three wheel roadster that allowed me to feel my knees in the breeze and find a new passion. At the time, my wife would never have approved 2 wheels. And I am glad that she didn't because Sunkist and I have had some awesome trips in rain, cold, and heat and I made it home safely from each one.
I am starting to love motorcycles in general more so than just the Spyder and even though some other riders don't respect the Spyder I have been able to see that "Spyder owners" are not really much different than"HOG" or "Honda owners" and so on. You have some elitist in every group as well as folks who include all motorcycles that have the basic concept of handlebars and riding on the vehicle versus riding in a vehicle with a steering wheel(cars, slingshot, etc...) even if it isn’t the one they prefer to ride. It always comes back to the person you meet not the manufacturer. Vehicles of any kind are tools to connect us all but we humans turned it into away to alienate each other. I have met some wonderful people because of the Spyder, some don't even own Spyders anymore but we are still buddies. So I salute BRP with whatever you do because your product has made my life better...
Sincerely,
The Rider
