• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone with DESS removed/disabled on a 2022 RT?

Will be interested to see if anyone chimes in and says yes. I've not heard of anyone removing DESS on one that new. For what it's worth - you don't actually remove the DESS, you go into BUDS with a Megatech License and disable it.

:agree:

Are you having issues with it? Just curious why you are wanting to disable it.
Not yet. I'm just thinking of taking out one more kink in the system. I see a few folks on some forums that have had problems with it when trying to get a new key. Heck, I don't want to be out and for some reason find the key does not work because of some silly code that leaves me stranded, or I lose the key. I'd rather add another after-market security system!

Before I went on a long trip last year on my 2020 RTL I needed a new rear tire. I went down to LaMonsters for the tire and while I was there I went ahead and had the DESS disabled. I was going into some remote areas on my trip and while I had no prior issues with it, I decided it would be one less thing to worry about. It was relatively cheap if my memory serves me at about $65.
