• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone With an RPM Warranty?

Came from the 2 different dealers I spoke with. Went with the RPM as it was longer and covered more components. I was also Air Defense Artillery. Nike Hercules nukes surrounding N.Y.C.. Tom :spyder:

Tango, if I understand correctly, you did go with RPM One. From discussions with shops, they speak favorably about RPM One. This is in regards to coverage, and also the shop getting paid for work done. We have so far not needed to use the RPM One warranty. Our dealings though when getting cards and such was never a hassle. Hopefully you never need it, but if you do use it, ideally all goes smoothly.

Same here. Went through Nike Hercules school at Fort Bliss, TX in 1968. Then Detroit metro area for 2.5 years (Union Lake Nike site and HQ Battery in Mt Clemens) then overseas for another two years.

Your dealer was wrong. The state insurance commission in Florida does not allow a Florida dealer to sell BEST.
Do you have some reference that shows that? Out of curiosity I went to the FL insurance web site. The only thing I could figure out is maybe BRP refuses to sell in FL because of the cancellation and refund requirement that all policies must make available. I also could not find BRP in the list of extended warranty providers. I did not find any reference to BRP being banned from selling in FL.
The website isn't the easiest place to ferret out information so maybe I just didn't look in the right corner.

Fort Bliss 1972. ADA site in Orangeburg, N.Y. on top of a mountain. The missiles were behind the drive in theatre below. The citizens had no clue what was there. :roflblack: Tom :spyder:

Someone asked if these warranties paid for themselves. Well... only if the need occurs, of course!

I went back through my records and found these events covered by my $869 RPM One (which still runs to mid-July this year). There are some estimates because they don't necessarily tell me what the cost would have been.

Compressor $375.68 Labor $400est - Warranty (I heard someone mention around 4 hours to replace the load-leveling compressor)

Frunk gasket (warranty) 65900 mi. $18 value (plus whatever labor :dontknow: )

Tow truck $50 (RPM max benefit per tow) - brake release failure
Warranty Repair above - estimated $750 savings (the techie told me the control module alone is over $600... IDK about the labor)

I have kind of concluded I don't want to be without a warranty on such a high-tech machine with such high-priced parts. YMMV.

Right now I'm having a metallic squealing noise in the drive-line that sounds like the front sprocket area, that I'm going to have checked out soon. Who knows what that could cost, and I'm confident it would be a warranty item.

No I have never been to the states insurance info regarding BEST warranties. While at a very reputable Spyder dealer having warranty work accomplished, I asked about the BEST warranty and discussed it a lot with the service manager. Yes BEST is honored in Florida, but is not allowed to be sold by a Florida dealer. A Florida resident can purchase a BEST from a vendor outside Florida. The primary reason I discussed it with the service manager was our machine was under the original oem warranty at the time and I questioned whether I should get a refund on the RPM One or not, then purchase a BEST warranty. I do not know the exact reason it is not allowed to be sold here. Possibly as someone mentioned there is no refund for unused months and BEST is only transferable with the machine to the new owner. Simply I do not know. There certainly is a lot of confusion between owners and dealers sales people at times. I almost wonder if the sales person quotes BEST at a higher price followed by another brand of warranty at better price, even knowing they are not able to sell them.

I purchases a 2019 f3s can am spyder , It comes with a 2yr warranty should I have received a warranty card? If so who to call to get one thank you

I received my card via mail directly from BRP about a month after my purchase.
I had bought a 2016 ST-S as "new" in late Jan 2018, so it came with 2 years plus 1 year BEST, so the card shows an expiry of Feb 2021.
If you haven't received, suggest you contact BRP...am sure there's a contact us link on their website.

IIRC, they no longer issue those cards as a matter of course - instead, the BEST warranty details are now all maintained on their computer system against the VIN, and you'll only get the card if you ask.... :dontknow:

I just bought my Spyder. 2019. They offered a 5 year “bumper to bumper” for $1200. He said it jumps the warranty to 7 years so I thought perfect.....don’t have to worry about anything.
