• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone using Spyderpops products?

I've been thinking about getting the air dam kit and the heat shield kit from Spyderpops for my 2011 RS. Just wondering if anyone else has installed these products or maybe anything else they offer and if so did it make a difference? Thanks for any help. Can't wait till spring.

Yes, installed and it did make a difference.

Check out my mods post on this: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?28857-SteveMac-Mods&p=348274&viewfull=1#post348274

I have a few items on my GS and think they are worth the money. The heat shield that goes next to your right foot to shield from the exhaust pipe was the best mod to keep my right foot cool.

Well worth it, you won't be sorry

:firstplace:Teddy has both installed on his RT-S & they make the heat in warm temperatures much more bearable:firstplace: I remove the heat shield in the winter, since we ryde year round & replace it in the spring:thumbup:

They're the first things I installed because I couldn't stand the heat coming from the Cat converter and out of the radiator holes. I went further and made one for the lower hole after removing the belly pan and enlarging the plastic underneath to permit the heat to flow freely. Even in hottest summer, the temp only got up to fan operation when in town traffic. But to my surprise, now in winter, theres still a lot of heat radiating off both sides that help keep the feet warm when propped out on the air dam.
I had thought I'd want to remove the radiator sheild this time of year, but find I don't need too.

Spyderpops makes good stuff that works (or at least looks really good like his wire mesh grill covers). He's got quite a few innovative products. All quality stuff.

I have AMS, MAD, MBG and MGS on the RS: they all work great

I got myself a Spyderpops Belt Guard when I realised how vulnerable the belt and its sprockets were. My dealer's yard has a dressing of granite chips so buying the guard was a matter of self-preservation. :sour:
