• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone use both, and should I....

My Spyders A 2008 GS And from the start wasnt happy with riding position..not a news flash, but ive bought the comfort seat from BRP have new floor boards and its better for sure. According to UPS my HELI RISERS are too be delivered Thursday. My question is should I get the BRP 1inch spacer and install while its appart..sorry question mark will not work. I know this is a question depending on riders size and preference. Im 6 feet 220ish and want the best I can do. Guess what Im asking Indirectly is it a big deal to add the riser from BRP after for a little more or just do it While its apart. Im In Canada think they told me they have have them on the shelf and for another $50 cant hurt I dont think. I prob will not be able to get at it till the weekend soo thought may get some past experience and thoughts Thanks Doug

Installing the 1" BRP riser is a job for someone with tiny fingers as I recall. :gaah:If you've got to take the same things off to install your Heli Riser I agree you should spend the $50 and do the job once. Good luck.

BEEN THERE DONE THAT

Read the above.....and the BRP riser is a waste of time and money it's totally useless.....If you have the Heli-Risers ...Exactly how high do you want the Bars to go ? ? ? .....You better give that a lot of thought because there is only "MAYBE" enough cable for a 6 inch rise, but to get that you have to get every possible MM of extra cable thereis to get ( no easy feat)......Just use the Heli-risers you will be lots Happier.....Mike ..................................PS I gained an inch on each side by trimming the Aluminum center section at the controls ...over 5000 miles and no problems.....Remember the Spyder does have POWER steering

Ok Mike have read that about the BRP 1Inch for sure, from what it sais on HELIS site 4.5 back 1inch up, with the BRP 2 up 5 back really not alot. But I see credit card was nailed $501 so another $50 really dont matter. Expensive upgrade but from what ive read a good one. I will have all winter too do what you suggested aslo... Thanks for the Input Dude......Doug

I am 6'-2". My wife has the BRP comfort seat and helibars with no riser block and the bars are too close for me.

Hmm Must say your post scared me a little Cant be any worse than it is. Even tho you are little taller just sitting on it and kinda guessing where grips will be should be better. I know in stock form the seat was too hard and uncomfortable for the arse and berries and the OEM foot pegs left me with only one positon. Even tho didnt notice back and reach prob cause was too concerned with legs and seat. Have hi way brackets/pegs coming too hopefully with everything on will be just right.....Doug
