• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone use a Waterproof half cover

Does anyone used something like a half cover such as NELSON-RIGG CAS-365 Half Waterproof Cover?

Especially for over night or long rides such as spyderfest coming up?

The reviews on Amazon from consumers say it will fit the ST-S even with a non-stock windshield. But, I just ordered a Cal-Sci XL, so I have not a clue...

And I trust you crazy folks waaaay more than Amazon...

I have that same cover for my RS as does a good friend. It works well for us. It works even better if you leave your helmet on the seat so water doesn't pond in the middle.
I have no idea how it would do with taller shields though.

NELSON RIGGS

I BOUGHT A 'NELSON RIGGS' FOR MY RS, BUT SINCE I PUT ON A TAIL RACK, I HAD TO MAKE ALTERATIONS TO IT...
SO FOR MY
F3-S, I JUST MADE MY OWN COVER... COST LESS THAN $20....

Hey Dan, what issues did you have because of the rack? We've had ours on with the oem sport rack, backrest, and even a large GIVI box mounted to the tail rack lid with no issues other than heavy rains creating a water pocket above the seat. Wonder if they changed up the design at some point??

Yeah..!!

l have the nelson riggs for our RS and even with the extra rack

I have the BRP travel cover. It works great and is quick and easy to put on and take off. It cost more that the after-market covers, but I needed it immediately and the dealer had it in stock. In any case, I'm pleased with it. It fits perfectly.

Have same

Was a "throw in" when I bought my '10. When I travel I use every night and sometimes on short stops depending on conditions like extreme sun or people!!! It is good as new. Wouldn't be without

looks great where do you store it? so far the frunk will either hold my helmet or my rain gear, nothing else

I have that Nelson Riggs cover and it fits my STL perfectly fine. Stock windshield.

Same here! I do not use at home but when I travel it keeps the morning dew off the seat and has also been good in the rain. The passenger back rest really helps keep the rain from ponding in the center as it helps keep it stretched tight

I use the half cover that I used on my Wing, It works just find thank you. $39 bucks at Big Bike Parts.

2013 ST-S

I have a full and a half cover that fits my RT, but rarely use either one. My main purpose (at first) was to keep it dry in the rain, but I found that if I wasn't at home, I'd have a wet cover to contend with, which was more difficult to deal with than a wet Spyder.

That said, they do work well.
