• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone up for a Tunnel of Trees (MI) ride this October?

Maybe the first week or so of October. We can watch the PureMichigan site for a color update.
Reply here and let's go ride!

Update: October 11-13, details will follow if we have enough interest.

Tunnel of trees

I live in Sarnia On. across the border from Port Huron Mi. , and would be interested , where would the start be , the time , and ride length . Thanks ... GPWN ( Gerald Nickels ) .

Bob usually coordinates this trip every year but haven't seen a post from them this year...It seems as though the interest in getting Michigan riders together has gone by the wayside...Cindi & I won't be here in Michigan after this month but I woud encourage you to do a Tunnel Of Trees ride...It's beautiful and you can combine a trip over the Mac Bridge on the same day...Makes for a great ride...

We will have to pass this year. It will be at least two or more months until I am cleared to ride again, and the house project has us occupied daily until the place is dried in and sided...hopefully before the snow flies. Have some fun for us.

Will Do!!

I've done that ride, it's great! Unfortunately, I'm going on the Kentucky trip the first weekend in October and GNCC racing the third weekend. No way I could get off work :-(

We have a date...

October 11-13, details will follow if we have enough interest.

I've contacted Bob Stein who put this together for the past couple of years. He won't be riding but sent me all the pertinent info. We'll meet in Petoskey at the Days Inn on 131 on Saturday (10/12) and start our ride around 10:30am to Legs Inn in Cross Village. After lunch if a group wants to go to Mackinac bridge they can from there or we can continue else where.

Will post more later. Post your ideas.

Is the ride completely in the lower peninsula? You listed 10/11 - 10/13 but only listed a meet-up the morning of 10/12. Is there nothing planned for 10/11?

I would love to go, I'm about to bring my spyder back to the shop for a 3 time in a month for "issues"... hopefully it will be ridable by then...

Friday is just a get together dinner, Saturday is the ride to Legs Inn and the tunnel of trees. After that folks can decide where to go next. Some may want to go to the Bridge others elsewhere. Sunday is open to return or maybe a ride south. This is very informal and casual get together. I've contacted the Days Inn and they are holding 10 rooms, 2 queen rooms for $88 and 8 king for $91. There number is 231-348-3900. the rooms will be held till October 1. Call them direct. Mention the Spyder Group
