• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried an AGM battery alternative? Any info?

Good morning everyone!
After 4 years the factory battery in my 2018 F3S has faded into the sunset.
Yes, I’ve load tested it and it’s finished. After many years as a Chevrolet dealership tech I’m not 100% convinced I want to go back with an AGM. Had many die in Corvettes sooner than they should and always with no warning.
A thread search has revealed many here are fans in OEM and normally I would be too but I wonder if anyone has tried an alternative, where did you get it, and what was your experience?
As always, thanks for any information you are able to offer.

At the suggestion of another member here I went with this option a few months back and am very pleased that I did. Just grabbed the attached screenshot and I see it has had a price increase.

This is the one I am using. I am very happy with it. They are so light you would think the case to be empty.

They are expensive, but what I like about Lithium is the extremely low discharge rate. For some reason, AGM batteries, in at least some Spyders, seem to discharge at a high rate. Requiring a tender to keep them up. I don't seem to need a tender on this battery. Otherwise, I've also had very good luck with the Yuasa battery.
