• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

anyone tow a seadoo with their spyder?

Towing a Sea-Doo is one thing, but 'retrieving' and pulling a Sea-Doo up from a slimy launch ramp is another. Not a good idea.

Not saying you can't...Just saying it would be very, very low on my list of 'possibly good ideas'. If you plan on doing so, please be VERY aware of your stopping distance increase, and acceleration time.

Towing

MrLoney, you have best idea. If you build you own trailer with an electric braking system, you would have a hand brake on your :spyder2: that you could use to stop the whole outfit and use the Spyder brakes only sparingly. I have driven a straight 5-ton truck years ago that was pulling a trailer with a small, tracked, front end loader. It had an electric-brakes, and if the pavement was wet, I would use the trailer brake to slow down or stop, thus avoiding jackknifing. Doug I

Saw a Spyder towing a jet ski this past weekend. It was a small one but he was booking it down the highway.
