• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

anyone still riding ??

I don't know how you southern guys take that 100/100 stuff, it flattens me! Guess I still have the thick blood of a north country mountain lad but I'll take the cold any day over that oppressive heat/humidity.

But no, no riding going on here.....more due to salt than the cold....it's been a very light year for snow so far and it doesn't take much of an excuse for the road guys to ladle the ol' salt on....even the 'possibility' of a little snow has them out! Think it's a budget thing....:dontknow:

In the St. Louis area, we have been blessed to get in maybe one or two days a week this winter. The weather has been wierd this winter. Get a day of 50 or 60 and the next it's 16 when you get up!:dontknow: On well, you take what you get and be thankful:D

I ride everyday.

Unless there is a snow storm or the roads have 4-5 inches of the white stuff, I ride my Spyder. Weather here has been up and down and all over the place. Flurries one day with sub zero temperatures, rain the next and 9C.

Coldest we've gotten that I've ridden in this year, so far, was about -15C (5F). However, because of the cold and damp air winters we usually get here, that -15C (5F) feels more like -25C (-13F).

It would be impossible without my large windshield, heated grips and wind deflectors.
Cheers from Newfoundland.

it was -10f without he windchill when i rode to work tonight, its going to be close to -30 F when I go home at 6am. I ride everyday.

I will say there is a traction difference once you are below 10F , the snow gets more like sandpaper or the salt on the salt flats. Glad I got the heated vest his year.

Hey Seth!

When the temps drop low like this here, all the slush and snow turns to hard and slick from our damp air. Sounds like you can ride in powder - cool! :).

Bet you wondered how you did without it all these years?:thumbup:

In the south you ncan ride about anytime. don't like the rain or below 40 other than that I can ride about anytime I feel like riding. The problem is finding someone esle during the week to ride. lifes rough aint it ;)

:(:(:( -36to-40 this morning with windchill wont be able to ride for about 2 months. spydey sitting in garage with battery tender ready for spring

Ride year round down here. I spent 16 years in Cleveland, OH so I'm allowed to "rub it in". Rode 180 miles yesterday on a PGR mission. A touch chilly in the 40s. but so worth it.

I'm riding this Saturday...suppose to be in the 70's ...I'm ready

Your in Texas and that don't count...It's cold out there! I try to ride when ever I can. But if its below 35/40 its
just a little cold. So far its been a winter that just kinda teases you along. I ask wife last night how much longer
we have, Hope that Ground Hog gets it right.

true,I have a firehawk GT on now I got from Yazz. I have got to get some weight on the swingarm.

If I did not go heated garage to heated garage I could not do what I do. in these temps my wheelchair metal is so cold that it will stick to your hands without gloves if you are out for more than 10 minutes at speed.

Still have not made it to the great white north of canada on the beast. I think BRP has pics of me at the border, "DO NOT this thing across"

Seth, everyone always complains about salt. Have you noticed any effects from salt on your Spyder ???
