Anyone staying at the Clarketon Motel in Maggie Valley?

Just wondering if anyone was staying where we are. Haven't heard any mention of the Clarketon, so I hope it's a decent place to stay.

Hmmm...the lack of response has me concerned about my motel of choice! :shocked:

From word of mouth on the Owner's Event in 2011 (myself included), the motels in Maggie Valley are not your crappy, run by foreign "I don't give a crap" people. Some are old and may be a little run down, but the motel owners are nice and customer oriented, and keep the place clean. At least that was my impression at the Alamo Inn Motel and like I said, what other owners told me from different motels in Soco Rd.

That was my impression as well. In fact, found out the Clarketon is ran by a fellow biker....not a Spyder ryder, but still.

No I haven't stayed there since the mass murder........ Just kidding!! It's ok! Not great but nice folks.

Yes we are staying there and arrived Saturday. Great Owners!!!

Gotta say, the Clarketon was very nice, as was the owners. Would stay there again, no doubt!
