• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone purchased a helmet from Europe?

I was wondering if anyone has purchased a helmet from Europe or that general region. I have been considering a new lid. I am really partial to my Bell Mag 9 SENA. So 3/4 helmets is what I like, the internal sun shield is probably a must have. Most helmets with the sun shield have the operating mechanisim on left side. Trouble is that is the side the comms mount has to slip inbetween liner and shell and sometimes the cable/linkage will no allow.

Many times an out of region helmet will not have any warranty coverage. Some parts can also be region specific. But since Europe is a much bigger 3/4 open helmet market than the USA, there are usually more options from that region.

Helmets from Europe will not have a DOT cert (only ECE).... if anyone cares.
Actually, the ECE cert testing is probably better than our Snell and certainly better than DOT. But well made helmets like Arai, for example, will pass any test anywhere in the world. They just don't bother paying for the test in countries where it is not the accepted cert. I would not have a problem with an ECE certified helmet.
