• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone painted

I bought a 2010 from the dealer that I bought the 2013 RT from. They played middleman and sent the trailer to a paint shop. Cost was a little over 900, but the paint matches very well.

It can vary anywhere in the country depending on where you live. I'm located in the San Francisco Bay area, it can run in between one $800 - $2000.

a 622 trailer? Can you share an approximate cost? I want to match my 2014 RT.

Papa:

We have repainted two 622 trailers to match our Spyders. My wife's went from Orbital Blue to Lava Bronze and mine went from Timeless Black to Pearl White.

A few things to note:

- the trailers are factory painted with water based paint as all the other applications are illegal in Canada
- very few US body shops use water based equipment and it is expensive
- most automotive paint stores can match up to your Spyder if they just have a side panel to put under their spectrometer to get the right mix. Pearl White (called Vegas white in the USA) and Lava Bronze are two stage paints so they have to mix up two different applications to get the color right.

Get quotes from some local body shops for doing the work. Make sure they include the cost of removing the two lids, painting them separately and re-installing them.

The mylar protection on the front is very expensive to order from BRP. On my wife's trailer we had them spray bed liner over that area and it works better at less cost. On my trailer, I just left that area alone as the black contrasts well with the white.

My wife's trailer including the bed liner cost was $500. Mine cost $450. We supplied the paint from a local auto paint supply place and it cost us $110 for that.

Good luck.

Painted a 622 trailer

Danny Ferris did my silver 622 turned it into a RED one, to match the RED RT-S he had painted about 4 to 6 months before. The graphics on the large lid was my dedication to the Veterans. Was a picture of 2 bikers at the WALL. On the smaller ( front) lid was a picture of the eagle with one wing with the MIA-KIA flag and the other wing with the American flag. the tallons holding the banner saying "a few gave some----Some gave All". All air brushed and beautifully done. Have had it for 3 years now and no paint coming off. Have had a couple rock dings but can't expect it to NOT get some if you travel with it. Cost was right around 1200.

2013 RT-S, Circuit Yellow with 2012 622 (originally white) trailer. I can't tell you what it cost to have the trailer painted, but total cost, spyder, trailer, hitch setup and out the door, $32 K.

My brother in law bought the paint from US Paint and took it to a local body shop and for 500.00 cash, no receipt needed got a beautiful paint job. From grey to pearl white.

Check with local body shop owners
