• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone notice this on their RT

When reversing on my RT SE6 2015 Model I select the 4 way hazard flashers to give extra safety
I notice when you do this the R icon in the cluster also flashers
If you don't put on the hazard flashers the R icon remains steady
Just interested if others have found this as well

As I see it..!!

All the ones I have seen turn on the four way automatically when you shift into reverse and the indicator flashes on the dash. This, unless you have backup lights, is the indication you are backing up and gives you some light if dark...:dontknow:

When I had my 2012 RS the flashers would come on when in reverse. Not sure if this is because they aren't as visible as the RT or not. I haven't noticed it on my 14' RTS yet.

Had to run an errand right after reading first post so I checked. My SE does not activate hazard lights when I shift into R but I have backup lights. I normally push R button with left thumb and shift into R with a left finger so I even did a two handed shift to make certain I was pushing the reverse button down far enough to make complete contact. If I push hazard switch R flashes in addition to lights. The 14 operator's guide addresses the hazard lights flashing when shifting into R on the SM model but not on the SE. It says in the info on the reverse button that backup lights turn on when vehicle is in reverse. In Basic Procedures section it explains the hazard flashing only when discussing operating in reverse on SM model. A quick look as the '15 operators guide shows explanations are the same as '14 manual.

From what JayBros says above, the 2014's do this as well. My 2013 RT SE5 does not. You can, of course, turn on the flashers in reverse, but the "R" does not flash.

my 2014RTS-SE6 the "R" does not flash. I will have to check the next time I go riding. Deanna

The RS does not have a rev.Light,so it uses the hazard lights in rev.,the RT have a Rev.(white) light so it does not use hazard lights. did no one notice this?

Flashing Hazard lights

I have an 2013 ST and when in reverse the hazards have always flashed from day one.

Just to clear up any confusion

When using reverse. the twin rear reversing lights come on and the R in the display remains steading
It's. when I operate the hazard switch manually when reversing that is when the R in the display flashes or course both the Green.arrows in the display also flash as well
It maybe a safety feature to warn you that the Reverse is selected whilst you are dispylaying the Hazards as most would assume you are not moving due to a breakdown. etc

Please remember when you put a '14 SE in reverse two Rs display, one on the analog speedometer and one in the digital cluster. If you push the hazard light switch it's the R in the analog speedo that flashes, not the R in the digital cluster.

I don't think my hazard lights flash on my SM. I was going to go out to the garage to check but no one is here to tell me if they flash. I know for sure that the front hazard lights do not flash in reverse.
