• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone near Hot Springs, AR?

Obviously I am not near there, but 24,000 new for an RSS seems high. Maybe I am wrong, but someone else can speak to it directly I am sure.

going to be to high!!...

I got my 2010 rt in hot springs, for 21000.00. A rs on the floor at the dealer is 18000.00

It is a nice SE Spyder. I only see risers, so its pretty much stock. I'm going to guess it was 19K new. The 24k they state is a crock of ..........well you know.

They might be adding in tax, title, tag and finance charges from the original bank loan and that would explain the 24k new price they came up with.

A friend of mine in Spokane bought 2 2009 RSS for $11,000 a piece from two different owners. I see some for under $13,000 all the time. If maintained, 20,000 miles is just broke in.

You can buy a 2012 for less than that and get it from a local dealer. Heck, you can get a 2012 basic RT for less than that!

It's not $24K!

This thread took a funny turn...
No one with a lick o' sense would pay $24K for a used RS! The $24K mentioned above is what the dealer claimed in his ad that the bike was worth when new (and we all know that's a stretch). The price I negotiated is nowhere near that. I was just asking if anyone in Hot Springs could look at the bike for me, to verify its condition.
But I do appreciate all the PMs offering info on other deals and dealers...

Thanx!

The question for you would be......... why would you want to do business with a person who blatantly lies or has no clue what they are talking about or selling ??? :dontknow:

Good point!
I wouldn't do business with someone who blatantly lies.
I interpreted "$24K when new" as dealer exaggeration or maybe he just wasn't knowledgeable about Spyder pricing.
I suspect many Spyder Lovers know more about the product than many dealers but that's no reason to not do business with them...as long as they're honest.
Personally, I've gotten some good deals in the past from people who didn't know what they were selling...

The only point I guess I'm trying to make is, If he thinks the Spyder is 24k new, I doubt what you will offer him will be good enough considering the Spyder is only worth about 14k if that. That 10k less than this guy thinks it was new.
I do wish you luck with this deal.
