Over the years I've accumulated a sizable number of motorcycle themed t-shirts and I love to wear them when riding. But since most of my riding, or the best of the riding, is in the summer and I often don't wear a jacket over the t-shirt, the last thing I want to do is wear a black t-shirt in the hot sun. I've got Honda shirts, Triumph shirts, specific Goldwing shirts, and humorous bike related shirts, and virtually all of them are black. Its not that I sought out black shirts, but it seems that black was the only color offered. I know riders like black in general, and t-shirts particularly, but it sure would be nice to be able to find motorcycle related t-shirts in white, yellow, or any light color that would not be oppressive to wear on a summer day. And now that I am a Spyder rider, I'd love to find someone making Spyder shirts, and in other than black. Any suggestions?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I can't really help with your question re lighter Spyder shirts, but do have a comment that you might want to consider..... There was a time that 'everyone knew' ( 
) that wearing shirts/clothing other than black (or at least 'dark coloured' 
) while on a motorcycle would likely mean that you'd get a reflective glare from the lighter clothing on the instrument glass - on some bikes, it was bad enough that you couldn't see the info on the dials!! :shocked:
The advent of 'dash panels' and 'instrument pods' etc reduced the reflective glare issue massively, but certainly the pre-2020 Spyders still have this glare issue to some degree, altho how badly is somewhat dependent upon how big the ryder is.... :sour: . Still, you might want to check that wearing lighter coloured clothing while ryding your Spyder doesn't make it harder for you to see the dash, especially when you're ryding on a bright sunny day! :dontknow:

" NOT BLACK " ???? .... I learned a long time ago to wear Black or other DARK colored " T " shirt while Spyder riding ..... it will almost Eliminate the GLARE off the instrument cluster ..... good luck .... Mike :thumbup:

We have gravitated to the hi visibility orange and yellow. We have both t-shirts and long sleeve versions of the same. Less expensive than "printed" t-shirts. More visibility. We do a LOT of riding in summer without jackets. Let's not get into an ATGATT discussion over this. :bowdown:

One of the reasons black became prevalent is because it doesn't show grease oil or dirt as readily as lighter colors do. Of course this doesn't really apply any more, but between leaky motors and oily chains it used to be a real problem. A side benefit was you could throw a sport jacket on over it and look somewhat suave( 
) if you were invited somewhere that required a jacket. Times and culture change but sometimes the trappings don't. I haven't had a problem finding light colored T Shirts at events or online. Just look around.
