• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone know how I can get my Spyder Owners and Miles Achievement Patches?

I recently bought a leather vest and would LOVE to get my Spyder Owners and 10K miles patches? I haven't really thought to look for them until now. If anyone has any information on this particular endeavor it would be greatly appreciated.

Let's see....

The owners pin came with the welcome package and the mileage pins were for 5,10.25,50 if I remember correctly and you requested them with a picture of your odometer. I got the 5K but just got patches from the club after that and I think it has changed some on the pins. Maybe someone knows more....

I may be wrong and if I am I know someone will help me out, but I think they did away with the mileage pins. There was a thread several months ago about this. If anybody has more or better info please let us know.

It appears that the mileage pin program through BRP is a thing of the past.

A vendor, Cat Specialties, sells patches with mileage on them. I have the 10K, 25K, and 50K versions. Don't know if they have added new ones with different mileages.

Actually, it was 5, 25 & 100 thousand. Would have liked one for 50 but they didn't offer it. That would have been more reasonable than 100k.

The CAT ones are patches, I added those and what was nice was that you could make it in the color of your spyder in a background style.

Do your own. Can find the milage bar patch at most bike lether shops or rallys, (use arts &crafts ironable markers to fill in, perminate marker will bleed in rain)

I actually dig the crap out of that. I'd probably fill in the bar with some kind of black thread but I really REALLY like the idea.

Where do I find Cat Specialties. Are they a Sponsor here? I didn't see them.

Never mind I found them

I have a whole drawer full of Harley and BMW patches and pins and three vest's with colors left over from my "Bad Boy" days. Get

some Harley Patches and more respect. Newbie's fear them!
:D

Don't wear too many pins on your vest outdoors during Lightning. You know what I mean? Could be hazardous to your health. (even you could become a human crispy critter).
:joke:

Personally I think that stuff is pretty silly when overdone. It says something about your personallity.
:yikes:

The trick is the balance. Fyi my vest , rather tame , but highlights my interest ( note the 12Gauge snaps)

I am guilty, guilty, guilty when it comes to the pins and patches. I don't wear the vest much these days because its way to heavy due to all the pins and patches that represent some of my favorite rides over the last 50 years. I do proudly display the vest on my friend Mr. Moose. I like to look at it and remember some of the good times I have had. No one comes to visit, so other than Linda, my vest is a big secret. I will be wearing it when they send me on my final ride.

What is the best method of attaching patches to leather. Some patches are hard to sew onto leather :banghead:, so I was wondering if there are other methods being used.
Thanks

Rivet the corners. Permanent glue also works.

Not tried--but perhaps Velcro would work.
