• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone know about..

I had the phone survey about 6 months back and got the card in the mail yesterday. Havent done the online survey yet but plan to.

A Spyder Alternative?

Even though I love my Spyder I hope this is someone considering coming out with an alternative. BRP could be a tad more responsive to its customer and competition is the only way that is likely to happen. I completed the survey.. no biggie on info

Survey

I took the survey last night. I thought it was by BRP based on the questions. I wanted a chance to tell them what I liked and did not like. If it was from Honda they may get a better picture of what we would like to see and actually be able to build a better and more dependable trike. If it was from BRP they know I like the Spyder but they have been put on notice they can loose my buisness if a few categories are not addressed before I'm in the market again.

survey...

I got a call yesterday from an independent research company doing a survey for BRP (they said). It only took a couple of minutes and the questions were about the Spyder and included no "personal info" questions other than age. No promise of remuneration though. :gaah:

I just completed the survey. I also believe it was from BRP. Both from the questions and the fact that there has been ZERO talk about this on the other forums I frequent. Now I don't yet own a spyder but I have been on a couple demo rides and they have my contact info from those.

After I purchased my first Victory in 99 I started getting these type of surveys. They were fact finding surveys. They were trying to find out what improvements people wanted. The thing that was different was they had three items listed and asked which of the three was more important to you. There was at least a dozen items in all but they only gave you three to choose from and kept mixing them up in each question. Out of that they would figuire which items were the most important on down the list to the least important. That's how they set up they're priorities. Complicated but for them it is informational. What it leads to is better products which is not a bad thing.

Got it, took it, waiting for my check:ohyea:
Really didn't ask questions of a personal nature other than sex, age range of income so I completed it. Once they start asking address and ssn I'm out.

Here's the responses I received to my questions about the survey:

1) Our client is a major motorcycle manufacturer, but unfortunately I am unable to disclose the identity of the client. Their goal is to develop a better understanding of motorcycle owners and how they can improve to better meet the needs of riders everywhere.

2) If you have two motorcycles, please consider only your most recently purchased motorcycle (provided you purchased it sometime after January 2008).

Rude On-Line Survey!!

A survey by motorcyclestudy.com?

Got a card in the mail today from them.

Thanks,

Ron

Yes, I got rudely flushed from the on-line survey!
I believe it was the 2nd question that asked " Have you ever worked or are you now working for any company that manufactures ,sells, or services motorcycles, atv's, pwc, etc.?" The survey said check yes or no.I checked yes as I had worked for a company that sells and services Motorcycles and BOOM, I was BLOWN out of the survey to a web page not available screen with out even a kiss my foot, thanks and or sorry, but your MC background is not what this survey is looking for!!I logged back on with the pin number from my card and was informed that I had already completed the Survey!!Too Much Smoke with this deal:hun:!!!

If it's from honda and they come out with something like the spyder, I'd consider it just because I have no use for my dealer who is 1 hour away and there is a good Honda dealer is 5 min away.

good survey

+I received the mailed survey and completed it yesterday. (I don't do phone.) Took me about 20 minutes, including head and beer breaks.

I liked the flow of the questioning, which is response-based, similar to some of the Civil Service exams I take (if you did this, what do you do now?, and it takes you to an affected scenario).

Respondents can apparently opt out of identifying information, so I don't see the big deal for those hesitant to have impact on the future of your chosen style of motorcycle...

Ride on.

Got my postcard in the mail yesterday. I'm about to take the survey in a few minutes. Nobody calls me cuz I yanked my landline - so NICE AND PEACEFUL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully I'm getting the best of both worlds, Honda just down the road sells the Can Am. This in turn tells me Honda probably ain't even considering building their own three wheeler.

Nothing up in Canada on a Card.
I did recieve a request for survey via e-mail. The offer is $50 for doing the survey. They say about 1/2 hour.....
As I see it, I am a loyal customer, but it is only a good thing to have competition. If any other company has a similar machine BRP would probably do EVEN MORE to keep us happy. Believe me, I have no problems with what they are doing now. If it IS brp...then Kudos to them for wanting to know what we think and want

Tossed the survey card

I toss all surveys. This one included that don't identify the source or purpose.
Same on registration cards. Personal info is none of their business.

I got mine today, haven't done anything with it yet. I'm always a little suspicious about these things but maybe this is legit. Wow, Deja Vu.

Not knowing who you are

Who ever you are you said it: "without me knowing who they really are". Give it a thought, You're just as guilty as that anonymous caller. Are all you guys out their giving opinions think that they are valuable with out a name who gave them? Is everyone afraid that they might be connected with their opinion? It's almost like lying. I really don't get it.
