There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Anyone install BRP 660 GPS kit on 2014 Spyder RT?

Correct. In fact if you have that harness it gets unplugged to put in the BT dongle cable.
You sure? The entertainment harness is needed to install the XM radio, right? And guys have said you can have the XM and Bluetooth both. After looking at the instructions for the Bluetooth that someone posted here, and the wiring diagrams, this is what I see. The BT dongle harness connects into one of the entertainment harness connectors that otherwise would plug into the CB. That's one reason why you can't have CB and BT both. The short adapter harness in the kit is a substitute for the the section of the entertainment harness that goes from the radio to the CB. The same audio leads you show in your video that go to the BT dongle are what feed the radio audio into the CB. The CB then sends those signals to the headsets. If you follow those leads to the CB connector you could conjure up a BT connection to the entertainment harness just as you did to the radio.

Unplugging the entertainment harness and using the short adapter harness is why one of the posters in another thread said his dealer told him he couldn't have XM and BT. The dealer is wrong.

Luckily our local dealer had a wrecked Spyder and gave us some of the connector (believe he snipped them from the mirrors). Does anyone know what those connectors are called? I would like to pick up some to have on hand. Its the 4th pic in SteveFive's post.
You can get all the parts and pieces for that entire group from 1 pole to 6 pole from here. http://www.newark.com/webapp/wcs/st...rseal 1.5&pageSize=25&showResults=true&sf=783

I bought some from them to connect to my after market LED fog lights, and just ordered some more to make up other weatherproof connectors. Easy to work with, really.

Incorrect. The BT dongle cable plugs directly into the radios SD02 plug and is exactly where the entertainment harness also plugs in. In fact if you read the instructions for installing the BT dongle cable it tells you to unplug the entertainment harness if it is there! The 2014's harness maybe different.

See this post showing pictures of the BT dongle cable. How do I know this? Because I made my own BT cable using this information.

Actually I lied a little..... It will work if you have the multi-function adapter. I do not know what that is! Never seen one or even a part number for it!

The instructions talk about is here.

I have never seen this multi-function harness?
The BT dongle kit comes with a plug to plug into SD02. You can see the pictures. I think the multi-function harness was never made that I know of or is now called something different?

BINGO!!

BRP folks would benefit greatly (and so would owners and service techs) if they would establish a standard for nomenclature usage, and train their people to use it!!

There's no excuse for them to refer to what industry for 60 years + has called a microswitch, a front storage switch, and worse, a position sensor.
