• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone here a member of Women on Wheels?

I've been a member of Women on Wheels for a couple of years now and am curious to know if any Lady Spyder Ryders are also members. I saw a picture of a Spyder in last month's magazine, but haven't really seen any other pics of women on spyders or any articles about them, so am not sure whether I should renew my subscription or not.
Am I the only Spyder member?

I have been a member of Women on Wheels for 21 years. I was on 2 wheels and now I am on 3 wheels. I have never sent any story in to them. Maybe now that I am on 3 wheels I might just do that. I am going to stay with WOW.

I've thought about joining, but have not to date. I know a fairly active member in the closest chapter lives on my street. I should ring her up and talk to her. I am much more confident on 3 wheels than I was on 2. I would not have any trouble ryding in a group now.
Thanks for the reminder that this group exists for us gals!!

I think it's a great organization and I am always willing to support women-owned/run businesses and organizations, but it also has to support my interests and passions as well. I think I'll extend my membership another year and write a letter to them about the number of ladies out there who have a passion for spy-ryding. Perhaps we can get some regular exposure in their magazine. ;)

Interested

I'm really interested in joining, especially after visiting the web site. I just need more information on local participation in my area. I did not see a contact number for the group. I was hoping that one or more of the members from my area could contact me by email or phone to give me more info. I spoke with another group supposedly "worldwide" but found that they had no members in Florida and I would be expected to ride alone. not going to happen. If anyone can give me more info, please email or pm me.

WOW member

I've been a member of my chapter for 3 years now and it is one of the best decisions I ever made. I was still on 2 wheels then, always looking for someone to ride with so made the jump. Then I showed up with my spyder RT a couple of years ago and everyone raved about the bike. They love group rides with me as they do tend to get more attention than when I can't make it but the thing I like about the group is the continued support for women and riding whether 2 or 3 wheels.

Just join

I just joined WOW last month and can't wait to start ridding with them next spring. I have been looking for a group for awhile, when I found them it just felt right for me.

Women on Wheels Monroe, La

Today about 6 Spyders stopped in Natchez for lunch on their way to the Women on Wheels meeting in Monroe, La today. Was in my cage so they didn't know I was a Spyder Ryder!

I rode (as a guest, of course) with WOW during the mid and late fifties. Only names I remember, Dot Robinson, Nickie Hero, Betsy Stringfield. Was great to see ladies ride thier own in those day and still is. Their is one thing, I think the ladies like better nowdays is electric start, kick starting a HD, indian or even a BSA was work.
Good Luck, have fun and ride safe ladies.
