• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone heard of or have one of these Spring loaded hitches?

Has anyone ever heard of, or have a spring or shock absorber hitch for their motorcycle hitch, or pull behind trailer tongue? It seems like that would be just the thing for a Can Am.
Thanks

Hi John, good to see your first post on the boards, and you're from just down the hill from me! (y) I've been avoiding going down the hill as much as possible lately, but have you been doing any Spyder Riding with any of the other locals?

However, your question - if you click on 'dot' of @Marr's avatar, you'll see that he hasn't been on the boards here in the last 5 months, and if you then click on the 'messages' number, it'll show that his latest post was back in 2021, so there's a good chance you might not get a reply from him just by posting here. You could try sending a DM, he might see that, altho I'm not sure if he still gets or ever got email alerts for them.

That aside, there has been a little bit of discussion on the boards about that sort of thing, but I think most of it was on DIY versions - so you might want to do a bit of searching and reading, possibly thru google or bing, etc, from outside the Forum (image search maybe) but by adding 'site:spyderlovers.com' to your search to restrict the search to this site. Good luck! (y)

I have seen two of them never had the chance to use one! I suspect that if you're running a trailer with a dead axle to the frame it may have some use! (y)

Since the trailer hitch on a Spyder is mounted to the axle this device would make a world of difference in how the trailer rides regardless of the type of suspension it has. There was a company that was manufacturing them, I believe in MN, but I was never able to contact them. I would gladly buy two of them.
