• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have pictures of Alloy Orange with a wrap?

I'm looking at maybe wrapping my hood to help cover some of the rock chips in the matte paint but cant find any Alloy Orange spyders with any kind of wrap. Anyone have any pictures or know where there are any?

I've searched the web high and low and can't find one pic of an Alloy Orange spyder with a wrap of any kind. I'm leaning towards the carbon fiber or just matte black. Is your hood flat black of gloss? How has it held up to rock chips? I have little white spots all over mine from rock chips? Almost looks like lint or like white dirt on the hood. Either way its already looking pretty rough in direct sunlight.

My hood is looking pretty good. No real noticeable chips and yes I have the matte black finish too. Most of my chips are on the actual panels from rocks or whatever and make me wish I could protect the paint. It could be your main riding conditions or just you have more miles than me. The wraps seem real cool. I just haven't seen one that "jumps out at me" yet.

Here's what you do..!!

upload a picture of your spyder into an art program and play with it. Always did this when painting bikes or cars. So many colors to play with. Hope you find a suitable solution..!!

You can. This is what I used to protect the custom paint on my ryde.

It's been on for more than 2 years now and is still holding up really well.

Paint protection is a great idea but because his frunk is matte finish you would need a matte finish paint protection film which
will be harder to find I assume. I believe that matte paint protection film is still pretty new. We have never used it but we sell
and install lots of glossy paint protection for cars and Spyders. For Spyders we offer paint protection in pre-cut panels so install
is pretty easy.

I have attached some photos of the 3M carbon fiber film installed. Hope these help....
