There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Anyone have experience with Gel Seats?

Has anyone had experience with Dave's gel seats as to how comfortable they
are? I think the price is fair, especially if they deliver in a large improvement of comfort.
As to taking the seat apart and removing the required foam that seems straight forward.
I am curious as to what kind of stapler is needed to reattach the seat cover.
Experience, opinions and thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dray
You can use a hand stapler but it is much easier with an electric or air powered unit.
check out the photos and how to info at motorcycledave.com

I installed his gel pad on my 2012 Spyder RTL. It was a first time experience in upholstery and it went very well. The pad turned a 2 hour seat into an all day seat for me. I have spent over 12hrs in it at a time with no ill effects. I can't say enough about Dave's after sale service, he is great.

I had a great experience with Dave. Installed the gel pad on my F3L seat, was very pleased with the added comfort! Well worth it in my opinion!

Thanks Guys! Talked to Dave yesterday and good to deal with. Even got a nice sale price.
Shipped out yesterday and got and email from Dave with a tracking number.
Cannot beat the service!

Hello Dave

Do you pictures? , how look in f3

thanks

Dave says you can use a hand stapler but I ended up buying a a cheap air stapler. It was under $30 and I know I will use it for something else. I couldn't get the staples in far enough with the hand one. As far as looks go you can't tell it is there, the seat looks stock

Got my gel pad from Dave in the mail yesterday along with a razor knife, black marking pin, cover material and a chrome spyder key chain that is neat!! That gel stuff is something else. Gonna work on it this weekend.

Since it is raining and cold here in Texas and will be for the next couple of days I decided to tackle installing the Gel pad That I got from Dave on my F3S. Everything was pretty much as described in his video with a few exceptions. I did trim to fit overall and beveled/tapered the sides and front for a better fit. Do yourself a favor if you do not have an air stapler and go talk to your local upholstery shop up front because they make reinstalling the cover look easy. My hand stapler and H/D electric stapler (new) would not do the job. Also, a small rotary air sander makes smoothing out the plucks on the foam a bunch easier. So for about $90.00 total I have very comfortable and nice looking seat. Now if Spring would just get here or at
least better weather.
