• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

anyone have an idea where this goes

Let me explain. When i was putting the :spyder2: back together after I put new plugs, wires, did the bypass for the canister I had the hood open to the frunk. Well i was walking by and bumped into it and this piece fell to the floor. I searched around and could find nowhere where it is supposed to go. Looks like some kind of spacer for a bolt to go through, or a sleeve for a bolt. I thought maybe the bolt that holds the front that allows it to pivot open but don't see anything there. Would appreciate if anybody could feel me in as I am completely lost.

Interesting. ...🤔

Have used many of them in a variety of places but never run across one on the spyder. Depends on what all you pulled apart or if may have come from something or somewvhere else..?:dontknow:

You might hafta trace back ever bolt or screw you undid/did up in your last round of work to make sure they are all secured properly into their various fixings, & if you don't find one of them loose or missing that bit, then you can probably safely assume that someone else/a previous job saw that particular fitting get pushed out of its hole & caught up by the frame or tupperware & it's only now made its way out!! But my bet would be it's come out of something you've recently undone/done up & you didn't notice!! I've come across a few of them on my Spyder, some just spacers that a bolt/screw passes thru, others with threads inside that those bolts/screws thread into in order to hold bits firmly in place!!

Good Luck searching, I don't envy your task. :sour:

that would be a sleeve on one of the torx screws that hold body panels on. Look on the side you didn't disturb and you should be able to fine it. I think it is in the front panel under the frunk.

that would make sense cause it fell right from the front and I did have the right front fender off as well (Well not fender but front piece of tupper ware around the light). Time to go snoop.

It should fit in a rubber boot and then a bolt thru it. I have run across these on my 08 Spyder. I'm thinking around the oil tank resv. Trying to remember where I fooled with it.

Have you sometime in the past had the headlights out? There are spacers like those inside the rubber mounting bushings of the headlights. Maybe one got pushed out at the factory and it's just been laying up there somewhere waiting to fall out!

Mac is correct. Headlight bushing. 4 per side. Remove headlights, see if any are shy. If not, it was an extra. If you did headlights, it fell out. Joe
