• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have a Russell seat?

I have one for my LT, and am considering one for my Spyder - does it raise you up the inch or so that the LT seat does?

Yup, I love mine and couldn't have done all the touring we've done with out it. bjt loves his too. Highly recommend. We purchased last fall during their group buy program. Hope they have another one this year for new owners that are interested.

The reason we bought the Russell over the Corbin was that we could get it made to fit. dltang wanted to sit a bit closer than the stock position so they made it that way for her. I wanted to maintain the stock riding position but just with a better seat and they made it that way for me. The standard Corbin seat that I sat on had me sitting closer and maybe just a touch higher than the stock which I really didn't like but I almost bought one anyways before I found the Russell custom saddle. They can make it taller, shorter, closer or farther back depending on what you want.

I have the Russell and am thrilled with it. They custom make it so mine brings me closer to the front. It also raised me up an inch. But they will do whatever you want. Have had no discomfort riding since installing it.

Corbin will do the same thing if you ask.

Can a saddle be modified to suit me?
Yes, however the Corbin saddle is designed to work perfect for about 90% of the riding population. If there is any doubt, you can provide your height, weight and inseam to your sales representative and they will provide that information to the people making your saddle. We strongly suggest that before any modifications are made, that you try riding our standard shape seat, that way, if modifications need to be made, we will have a point of reference. If you have to send a saddle back to us for modification, we will change the shape of your seat to your specification at no charge as long as we can put the same cover back onto the seat. If the changes are such that the cover cannot be reused, then we would have to charge for a new cover at cost.

I have the double Russell Daylong seat.   All I can say after 8,000 plus miles is the Best Seat ever owned. We rode it several days, day after day & We are still waiting for the first time to feel sore. The wife & I both love it. I've owned the others and none compare, Recomend it to anyone!

I love the feel of the Russell - however, on the LT, it requires a very different way to hold up the bike at a stop.

The Corbin has the looks, but less comfort...
