• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone had this happen?

Backside of pulley come off on the f3s today. Don't know what caused it. Thank god she's covered.

Have not seen this...

Not totally sure what's going on with that. The back side is thinner and seems to be pressed on with a rolled lip too much paint to see for sure.
Will be interesting to see what feedback you get being that it is a wear item usually not covered by warranties...:dontknow:

20161102_163329.jpg double checking the rear side is the solid one and the front plate the thinner one...This one is off an RS may be different...let us know what you find out...

Now that is a new one!!

I wonder what caused it to break like that?? Pressure on the inner lip from an angled pulley/belt?? Or just poor quality casting/metal/machining??

Looks like the inside edge of the belt isn't too happy anymore also! :p

They just replaced the rear bearings under warrant and had them check the front pulley bolt three weeks ago.

mine

mine, and others i know, had the 'spline' stripped out.... these sprockets are NFG.... :gaah: wake up BRP...

one2doo, given ^^ that info from Chupaca, could it be that your front pulley was put on backwards when they replaced the bolt?? ie the pulley was mounted with the thin/rolled rim closer to the engine rather than away from the engine so that any pressure from the rear wheel/miss-alignment was on the pressed fit bit instead of on the machined lip??

That could explain the how/why of the failure, altho it then raises the question of how it would've slipped past any installation checking when they replaced the pulley bolt?! And I guess it also raises the question of were they trying to hide something?!? Did the other side of the centre boss or the splines get chewed by the loose bolt, & instead of replacing the pulley they just flipped it?? Are those pulleys designed or capable of going on either way?? Was the belt alignment done properly??

Little checking..

It is different . ..on mine, the RS , there are threaded holes where you bolt on a rather large counter weight. On the parts list for the 2015 F3 there are similar holes but no counter weight. They call it a flywheel must have dropped the on the triple..if all they did is check torque I would suspect a faulty part...:banghead: to break or pry it apart with the belt tension or adjust would be near impossible...

Agree

front pulley

i had that happen to a new unit i placed on my 09 changed it and no issues again i changed the front pulley in i think 11 so it has an inner and outer guide only thing i might say to much pressure on the inside from belt alignment

They called me today

Everything is covered front pulley belt and they said it damaged the rear sprocket also. It's all covered. Moutain Motorsports great guys.

Picked her up today mechanic said the rear sprocket killed the front one. The rear sprocket was warped from factory and requested parts to be shipped back. Hope no one has the same problem.
