• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone get a "what's it worth" e-mail from BRP?

Like many of you I also stopped at the point where they requested personal information. This morning I went to the NADA site and found a few interesting things. First, when you go to the motorcycle page they have different styles to choose from including trailers where the picture you click to enter the site is of the RT-622 trailer. Two, this site didn't ask for mileage where the email site did. I was really curious about what kind of hit they made for mileage. Third, on the NADA site when you get to the page where they show the values for a specific model they have a tab for "specifications" and for a 2014 RTS they show it has a 998 motor. So I wouldn't give much value to the value they give.

I found it odd that they picture the RT-622 trailer but don't have Can-Am available as one of the manufacturers to choose from. Also, they only have trailer prices up to 2009.

Sales estimate

Well...I ran the reply and got what would make me happy.

HOWEVER, I know they have my phone and address SO...if it ain't Pit Bull Can Am in Springfield, they can forget about making me a deal. I am prepared to drive to Springfield and trade.

Filled it out. Not a big deal.

Didn't like the appraisal:yikes:
I also filled out the appraisal and did not like it either :gaah::yikes::gaah: I am keeping/and not trading mine.

I am still paying on mine, and there is nothing out there that I like! Also, I have mine the way I like it now. ( the farkles that I have done to it).

I Bit

I got the email, and Bit. I knew the Trade in Value VS Retail Value on my Spyder, so was not surprised when it came in with a $2000.00 spread between Low and high trade in Value against a new 2017 Rt Limited. Only problem is, their High Value Trade in was $4000 less than KBB Retail Value.

I have a great dealer. I do not need BRP attempting to gain my information!

If they ever make it.
Then if and when they make it and it has the real world test of all styles and types of riders and rides, with all of the after market modifications that people make to it, how many years will it it take for them to correct it all?

Why is it that past motorcycles and girlfriends are always remembered as the best or perfect, and the current ones we have we complain about?

Sorry but after 1.5 riding seasons and 18,000 miles my Spyder is trouble free and still a ton of fun, it not like my motorcycle, it's not better, its different. I embrace those differences and love it for what it is.

I got an e-mail from a salesperson that did not even know me. I have purchased six from the dealer since 2008 and over 130,000 miles on the brand. I am probably one of their best customers if I were also to add in the four Kawasaki's I also bought from them??? I put down undecided on the form so it was assumed that I did not know much about spyders or models. He suggested I go with RT if I ride two up or a lot. He said he had deals on 2016's and that 2017's were on order. In AK, that means the 17's will be here in April or May of 2017. Sometimes, I just have to sit back and wonder.:thumbup:

yeah, I got it. I filled it out. Then I laughed at the trade in and retail value. No, I'm not looking. I still owe way too much on mine. As far as the personal info- all zeros on the phone number. BRP already has my address.

got 1 too

did not like what they were offering me and there is nothing out there i really like

I got it and ran it through. Rolled my eyes at the figure I got. Anyway, I like mine and have no intention of getting rid of it.

Just for giggles, I did fill mine out. As some may recall, a couple of weeks ago I started a thread about my delaer loaning me his Demo, a 2016 RTS with the 1330 engine while my Spyder was in his shop. Both the wife & I really like the engine & tranny, and as my dealer pointed out, "once you ride it you'll be spoiled and want to trade". He was right, but too big a price difference. His distributor offered $12,500.00 for our RTL, as figured he would have to "sit on it until the spring". (My dealer did tell me that the distributor has been lowballing trade-in prices for just that reason). The BRP trade in estimate was $14,260.00, pretty much the same as KBB. Still not gonna make the trade, as BRP said I would be contacted by a dealer who-shall-not-be-named that I no longer use.

So far... It is looking like the "What's it worth" e-mail has not stirred the owners to run to their nearest dealer and get the trade in/purchase juices flowing. It's the end of the season for most of us and 2017 is another year.

I was wait and see, but based on what I found out, I think #5 is my last.:thumbup:
