• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone ever had experience with one of these ?

No experience here, but I am not a fan of one wheel. To much chance for damage to both rigs in the event of a tire fail.

Third Wheel

Yes, lots of experience. I had one on my Kawasaki C-14 sport touring bike. The hitch on mine attached to the rear axel which provided a very solid connection with no surging. I put about 14 thousand miles on it with no issues. They come in several sizes, have a modest capacity and are relatively light. Was a good company to work with (Canadian). Would recommend LED brake lights.
Sold the bike/trailer and bought a F3S.

Nice...!!

Do wonder about the hitch and the torque the trailer puts on it...:dontknow: must work cause they have been around a long time....

The main draw for these is that on a 2 wheeler they follow the same track, and if you avoid an obstacle with the bike, so does the trailer, given the single track vs 3 tracks with a conventional trailer. Not much point for one of these with either a Spyder or conventional trike.

Exactly. On a Spyder the lack of lean would have the trailer exerting a lot of twisting force that neither the trailer nor the hitch are designed for. It could have a destabilizing effect on a Spyder.

Keep in mind everyone, when pulling a two wheel trailer you get FIVE tracks and not three like the Spyder. The trailer wheels track right and left of your rear wheel but not in line with your front wheels. If you come upon an obstacle of any kind, pot hole or whatever, you have to drive around it completely or else,,, ask me I found out the hard way.

I used one with mt BMW LT for years. It was great and held surprising amount of stuff. Loved how it leaned and followed the bike. I do not think I would want one for the spyder, though. I did love it how I could just roll it onto the motel room at night
