Anyone ever add a storage pouch to a BRP backrest?

My previous rides always had Utopia backrests and they come with a storage pouch. My riders have always appreciated that pouch.

I didn't realize the BRP didn't have one or I might have gone a different route, but here I am.

Has anyone added a storage pouch to the BRP? Several searches didn't show anything but I thought I'd ask.

If not, I will probably try to figure out a way to add one myself. Probably glue some really strong velcro to the back, then ask my daughter to sew a pouch.

But I think the Velcro is stitched to the backrest.

I would call the people at Utopia and see if they will sell you one of theirs. I have found them to be very accommodating.

I like to use a leg bag or a fanny/bellie pack.

:agree:....years ago I bought one for a Utopia that I had that didn't have one ..... My current Utopia has Velcro stitched onto the backrest under a flap .... I would make sure the WIDTH of the pouch will fit the BRP backrest ..... check to see how the cover on the BRP is put on , it may be easily removed which makes sewing velcro on easier ..... good luck .... Yes. I also had a Utopia on my 2014 for awhile. When I went to the BRP comfort seat, I got rid of the backrest. It is now enjoying a second life in Illinois, some place.

A pouch is a great convenience though. They can be found and there is usually no problem with coming up with a way to attach it.

Go to a local upholstery shop and see if they can put one on your back rest.
