Hello fellow SpyderLover members,
I recently received an email from BRP (11/24/2021) encouraging me to pre-order my Spyder while there was still time. Since I had pre-ordered my 2022 back in August I wasn't concerned. However, I did click on few buttons and boy did I get a surprise. Speaking only for the RT line up prices had shot up $5800 for each of the RT, RTL and Sea To Sky models. The logistics or commodity fee has gone from $400 to $520. I did my due diligence by searching the BRP web site and the internet in general. I came up empty handed as to what was driving the huge increase in MSRP since August. Then I discovered another oddity. If you went in to the CanAm Spyder site via BRP.Com the information presented was the August MSRP pricing. Only if I researched pricing through the link in the email did I get the inflated prices. I had to make a trip to my dealer on 12/3 to pick up an oil change kit for my snowmobile so I showed him what I'd found. He was as befuddled as I was. His pricing showed nothing has changed since August. He made a query just for s--ts and grins. Low and behold he discovered that the pricing I was being linked to was Canadian pricing even though I'm a registered with a US address. Guess I'm happy to be a US citizen in this case! At least on paper. Mystery solved.
