• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else experienced this Thumping noise when turning? Ideas on Cause and/or cure?

I have a friend with a '22 RTL that has a very noticeable thumping noise during a sharp turn in either direction. We listened to it carefully yesterday both on and off the RT. It is difficult to even tell where it is coming from and does seem louder during aggressive turns and quieter during very slow turns but is always there and always during full lock (stop?) turns. We did search around the sway bar connections and at the back using a flashlight but could not see anything obvious such as loose lock nuts, etc. to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what was the cause and cure? Planning to put it up on stands in the next day or so to get a better look.

If it is a sway bar issue, this is easily identified. Just rock the Spyder left and right vigorously. If you don't get the sound, it isn't the sway bar. In a turn, the sway bar would make a single clunk per turn. It would not repeat until you turned again.

Did you check for stuff rolling around in your cases? Like the forgotten aluminum water bottle my wife didn't tell me about but I could hear?

Has he upgraded tires recently? When I switched to car tires, I got a rubbing sound in sharp turns. Fixed it by adding washers to the fender.
