• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

anyone done this yet?

I'm trying to install the new electronic audiovox cruise control and found the perfect place to put the throttle cable, but one problem. The perfect place to put it is to put the small cable loop (supplied with the cruise control) over the top ball on the linkage that is connected with a plastic or nylon linkage (when the throttle opens, it pulls up a white plastic linkage that connects to the idle speed screw setting). It's the only plastic linkage between two balls on the carbs, so you'll see what I mean if you look at it. However, breaking that piece of plastic to get it off would probably lay-up your spyder forever while trying to get another one. Does anyone know the proper technique for removing it off the ball so I can put the loop over it then re-install it?

HOw did you get the plastic linkage off the ball joint? I assume you did that to attach the cable?

Just pry gently with a screwdriver blade.
But you do have to rotate the linkage around to where there is enough room for it to come off.
Same story when you have to put it back on, the linkage must be moved.
