• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone bought H4 Headlights from Amazon for their Spyder?

Well....

Haven't looked but there are a lot of brands with a lot of claims. I have used many of them and find them pretty much the same. My spyder seems to blow them out on long rydes maybe because I do push the rpm's to the high side when on freeways.

I took a look at your profile and see you have 2017 RT. I hope you are not expecting H4 bulbs to fit in your RT.

I will be replacing a burnt out bulb today. The correct bulb for (at least my) RT is 9005 which is available at most auto part stores. My owners manual lists the headlight bulb as a 60W H4. That is incorrect. You need a 65W 9005.

I actually have a F3L. I don't know how to change the picture. I cant figure it out.

Hey Floridian.......it’s not hard to do, just tricky to find. You would think that your Profile Picture would be under My Profile, right? Wrong.......it’s under Settings.

Right Up the top of the page (above the red Spyderlovers) select “Settings”
Halfway down on the left, select “Edit Profile Picture”

Follow the quidelines to delete the old photo, add a new photo etc etc

Pete

Someone may want to advise BRP to review their manuals before printing. Specifically the Infotainment section..... SAD....

I ordered the LED headlight and driving light kit from Lamont’s site for my Wife’s F3T. They are crisp white light, very bright, and throw a good pattern. They also match the color of light from the fender marker lights.

I went to the auto parts store and got Sylvania Ultra headlights for our F3L when one of the stock headlights burned out. So far so good.

I am old and a lot slower than I used to be. I changed a headlight bulb for the first time and it took me an hour and a half. I moved slowly and deliberately and had the book open to guide me. Next time will be quicker. Not a difficult job. Just time consuming for a slow old guy. Had one burn out last year and the dealer charged $150.00. So I guess I work at a rate of a hundred bucks an hour. (I wish). I think I will go to LEDs when the next one goes and hope for more longevity. BTW, the correct bulb for my RTL is, in fact, Sylvania Ultra 9005. (And, no, I didn't touch the bulb).
