• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone been traveling in the deals gap area?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been traveling in the area around deals gap and is it a problem finding motels or food open. Three of us are going from Texas to Minnesota and wondering if anyone has been traveling and having issues,

NC Graham Co closed HWY 129 which is Tail of the Dragon FROM only the NC side. Coming from the TN side it was open. This was for March and maybe April, could have been May.

ths is tail of dragon website https://tailofthedragon.com/

here is the county http://grahamcounty.org/

I have not been there, only heard back in March of closing. I think by June should be open

You might also want to check Cherohala Skyway between Tellico Plains, TN and Robbinsville, NC also. Tapoco Lodge near Tapoco is a little on the expensive side but a nice place. Watch your speed on US129 in Tennessee.

Road the Tail on Thursday on our way to Helen, GA for a Victory Rally. Thursday was pretty dead but hotels open. Restaurants were hit and miss if they had Dine in - but many did. Saturday the Cherohala Skyway was packed out. Sunday the Dragon was busy and the Foothills Parkway was busy. Pigeon Forge seemed like business as usual with an insane amount of traffic. Did 1700 miles on that trip. It was awesome!
