Anybody using Rev on their iPhone?

I downloaded the lite version and the skidpad and GPS monitors are really good. I was wondering if anyone has used the wifi odb-II dongle with it I would like to be able to check fault codes and monitor things like throttle position, steering angle etc. I am not sure what codes and metrics are available for the spyder. If you have used this or connected a PC to your Sypder throught the ODP2 port could you let me know what metrics it supports



I am using my iPhone as my motorcycle computer. it gives me phone and wifi and gps. I have a J& M bluetooth headset and it is great too. The mechanical quality of the device is execlent and the speakers are the best I heard it support stereo also. I have tom tom installed on my iPhone and it works well. With voice command i can control my ipod music and make and receive calls. I can also hear the voice directions from tom tom. I listen to pandora around town through the 3g connection. always have access to the weather channel and live radar too. With the adition of Rev and the odp-2 Dongle I should have pro grade performance monitoring and logging too.

the stereo volume is great and the speakers are the best i've seen. I got a scala q2 and returned it right away. The speakers also have connectors and they have a couple options of speaker size. I mounted them in my helment and packed some foam around them. they are as good as most stereo headphones.

Are you sure the Spyder diagnostics port is OBD-2 compliant? I thought it was proprietary. That is why their connector and their BUDS program is necessary to diagnose and interface with it.

The VSS and ABS is from Bosch and was originally designed for a car (thus the two sensors on the rear wheel.

It just might be that the rest of the system is in fact OBD-2 compliant in order to work with the VSS and ABS. Might just be worth a try. I doubt that you will hurt the system by trying.

The law requires that all cars and light trucks sold in the US of Model Year 1996 and newer must be OBD-II compliant . It does not apply to motorcycles.

Intriguing idea. I have tried to use my iPhone on my bike but my Zumo 660 is very limited. Works for the phone but not music and I have never tried to use it direct.

Now all we need is a HUD display. lol

I've got the VR2--- have not even touched the advanced features--- just had some fun with the 0-60 and dyno features.

Only the 3gs has stereo Bluetooth the others don't

No. Its the limitation of the Zumo 660 which everything sort of hubs through. It will get my number off the phone but they have not updated so it also access my playlist. I can listen directly but that means choosing the Zumo or the iPhone. Just wish Garmin would wake up sometimes and listen to what customers need.

Are those HUDs still available? The website seems a bit sketchy. And how hard was it to install?
