• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anybody used My Genius from Monster Fuel Injection?

Yes I have one. It works as advertised. It's easy to change tunes as desired. It plugs into the Can-Bus connector and then you choose which tune you want to work with and follow the directions. I can switch between stock, Stage 1 and Stage 2. I'm really happy with Stage 2 the bike is much peppier and responsive. In Sport mode it enhances the throttle sensitivity as well.

I queried the use of the My Genius Programmer from Monster Fuel Injection for my 2014 RTL. The email from the company mentioned that it could not be used on my Spyder. Send the company an email to ensure it works on your Spyder.

This is for 2017 and newer ONLY.... Sadly!

I have it also. Worked very well. I previously had a 2015 RTL and had sent the ECU to be reprogrammed. After trading in that bike on a 2020RTL, I immediately noticed the difference. I didn't want to wait until after the warranty was out to reflash the new one, so I bought the My Genius. In the event of a warranty claim, I can reflash the ECU back to stock.

BUT as " hypurone " said above .... It will NOT work for 2014 -2015 - or 2016 / 1330 engines ..... Mike

I wonder if that is because they do not include a cable adapter like Dynojet does with the PV3?

From what I can tell, Can Am went to a full digital (CAN bus) communication for the different control modules in 2017. This communication protocol allows the use of the My Genus programmer where the old style wiring harness doesn't allow direct access to the ECU.

Like on my 2016 Camaro, I've inserted a programmable unit into the Can bus that allows complete control of the magnetic ride shocks.

And yes, the upgrade to the Monster tune was worth it. I have the standard Stage II tune and another tune that allows me to use less than 91 octane fuel in with the modified airbox; just in case I'm on the road and I can't find 91 octane.

Just used the MyGenius Yesterday, was reasonably easy to do. I went with Stage 2, mileage per tank has gone from 180 miles on average to about 120 miles

A 33% drop in mpg just doesn't seem reasonable. I know not apples/apples, but my custom mapped PV3 actually improved my cruising mpg. Certainly dropped when romping it, but not 33% :(

Sounds like he is having fun with a lot of wide open throttle starts.

Hahaha……mileage actually improves slightly with “normal” riding, Waldo;) ….. sounds like you’re having some serious fun :2thumbs:
