Anybody else taking a trip over Thanksgiving?
We are doing our last Thanksgiving diner tonight, did one last night also. So Wednesday the wife is loading her Spyder and I am loading the GW Trike and we are off for the Golden Gulf Coast. 1
[SUP]st[/SUP] stop is Biloxi, Mississippi then we are cruising the coast for a few days through Alabama, Florida, and back through Georgia before we head home to Missouri.

Anybody else taking a motorcycle trip over the Holidays????

:ohyea:

Thanksgiving trip

I am currently in Leslie, Arkansas for the week in the Ozark mountains, I will run the pig trail(AR-123) tomorrow or Wednesday. Having Thanksgiving with my parents. Had a "BEAR" encounter yesterday while riding my ATV buggy in the woods.:yikes:

Just taking a trip to my easy chair for all of the food and football! :2thumbs:
Although the weather on Black Friday is looking like a good day for a ride right now...

:trike:May have to get that Spyder after that Bear. We live in SE Mo and there have been 1 or 2 bear sighting in the last couple years around here also.:yikes: Were you out dear hunting? :bbq: I hear BBQued Bear is pretty good.

No, just enjoying my other "toy" I brought up here, just cruising the woods when I encountered them and smartly left the area. Got 80 acres to ride.

Cindy and I will probably go away for a couple of days (non football days) and find us a bicycle trail that we will ride. I'm a member of "rails for trails" and there are a lot of nice ones here in Flarda.

Of my Spyder is out of the shop I will ride to dinner on Thursday. We are going with our biker friends to dinner about 60 miles from here. Temps should be in the low 70s with abundant sunshine for the foreseeable future!

I'm with you Bob. I am planning a round trip between the dining room and the TV room. Probably will make multiple trips throughout the day. This will be followed by numerous trips to/from the fridge over then next week or so. :ohyea:

I'm with you! those leftovers have me sticking closer to the fridge than even the dog!

:agree: also. Plan on the easychair/kitchen/football trip for Thanksgiving. With snow on the roads and temps hovering near zero--its just not inspiring me to go for a Spyder ryde.

I plan on riding to Tunica Mississippi on Friday from Bryant Arkansas, spend a few days at the local casinos there and head back home on Sunday.

Any one heading my way?

I rode to Orange Beach, AL on Saturday. Will be making the trip back home tomorrow. Rode over in to Florida a little ways and out to Fort Morgan. It's been beautiful weather for ryding! I plan to ride the same route as Bob on Thursday.

I got a neice that lives in Fairbanks and she has already posted on FB of temps at -22 degrees. :gaah:
Tooooo cold for me.....

we will be hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the family....while y'all are out riding, watching football, just triping from the table to the easy chair.....I'll be busy so you guys can enjoy your day...it is a man's world...;););););)

We will be home for Thanksgiving. Bruiser will pick up our 'baby girl' to come home for the day. Bruiser will be grilling the turkey and I'll do the rest. Will just watch parades, and enjoy the day. :ohyea:

Wife and I have a 20+ year tradition of hosting thanksgiving dinner for family, then a brunch the following day for family and friends.

If I'm lucky, my wife will have forgotten to buy some ingredient, and I'll get to make a grocery run.
And weather looks to be great!:gaah:

Well after 1,708 miles we made it home. We had Thanksgiving Lunch on Bourbon St. then off to Biloxi for some Oysters and walk on the beach. Next stop was Gator Wrestling outside of Moss Point, Ms. and then to Pensacola to climb a Lighthouse and later sitting on our balcony listening to the waves. Saturday morning we met up with a couple of Spyder Ryders Docrags & Edrags, (she is on Girls on Spyders in Facebook with Carol and they set up the meeting for a short ride followed with coffee and snacks of course) next it was off to Panama City, another night on the Beach. Sunday came we knew we needed to start home!!! We made it as far as Fulton, Mississippi before we called it a night. On Monday reality started setting in as we had to go back to work on Tuesday. And of course Mother Nature made the last day as miserable as possible. We rode in rain at 45 degrees for the last 3 hours before we made it home. But you know I think it was worth it.
