• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just had a friend ask me why I used Murphy Brown on Spyder lovers, I said Murphy was my dog and she was brown. He says oh I thought it was after the TV show? So was there a TV show called Murphy Brown if so when and does anybody know how I can find old episodes to watch I might learn how Im suppose to behave by watching (hope she wasn't a stripper!!:yikes:)

I never really watched the show, but I recall that about the worst thing that 'Murphy" ever did was have a child out of wedlock... Pretty tame if viewed by today's standards.

Murphy! I for one ain't buying your story, I think any american over the age of 40 remembers the show Murphy Brown. That may not be how you chose your handle, however your spirit and attitude toward life reminds me of the character on the show.:p:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

So....you came up with the name Murphy Brown, and had no idea of the TV show "Murphy Brown"? That is kind of funny. I guess I always saw your posts, and enjoyed them, but I assumed you had a tie in to Candace Bergman. I used to watch the show, and whenever I see Candace, I relate her back to that character. Maybe Roku or something like that may have episodes. Here is a link to episodes on line.

It was a sit-com that ended up being political. They made fun of Dan Quayle (but every body else did also)--the vice presidential contender and there was some political flack over that. There were other controversies--but I don't remember much about them.

It was back in the 80's and starred Candice Bergen, as a television journalist. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094514/

I watched the show...Murphy Brown was a hero to liberial (not Democrat or Republician) minded girls/ladies...she helped pave the way to break the 'Glass Ceiling"...some what...make some women stand up for themselves....she was funny...but serious....it did get a little too political for me....and I've never had cable TV or Direct or any of that stuff...I just watch TV when there is nothing else to do....murphybrown...go watch some of the shows...I think you will like her....we'll miss you at Durango

I never got into the show much.... but remember the Quayle (of potatoE fame) incident. It was actually Quayle that 'drew first blood' by getting his panties all bunched up over a single women deciding to have a baby--- all on her own--- out of wedlock. I guess he didn't realize that it was just a TV show....... I think he's currently still trying to save those poor people stranded on that desert isle....... :roflblack:
