• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

anybody have insurance with AAA?

Progressive is the only company that I have found that will/can do the Spyder. Not sure why. I am hoping that I am wrong so that I can get a cheaper quote.

I have state farm. they had no problem insuring the
spyder. 192.00 for six months.

BIKELINE

I TRIED PROGRESIVE THEY WANTED $1100 I WENT TO BIKELINE WITH ADDED TOWING AND NO MEDICAL COVERAGE. MY PREMIUM IS $292 A YEAR. THEY ADVERTISE IN THE MOTORCYCLE MAGS. IAM GOING TO SWITCH MY VTX1300 ALSO BECAUSE IAM PAYING $50 A MONTH WITHOUT TOWING. SOME COMPANYS DONT LIKE MOTORCYCLES SO THEY JACK UP THE PRICE.

I have Foremost - got the AARP discount (sometimes old is good). Good deductibles, etc. for $304/year in Illinois. But check the older threads - there is one person they named several times that had even better rates and that good reviews.

i just got off the phone with state farm agent hopely i will get as good a rate as you did
AAA gave me great rate for 2pick ups but wont do or agent doesnt know if they insure spyder

formost?

thats the "spyder specialist" right? have banner on spydertalk
wonder if that company is stable

I HAVE MINE THROUGH THIS COMPANY. THEY DO SPYDERS ALL THE TIME. I GOT THE SAME COVERAGE THAT I HAD ON MY HARLEY FOR ABOUT 230.00 A YEAR. ASK FOR MARC
HERE IS THE WEBSITE

Yup that link http://www.bikersins.com/ will take you to Marc Fischers site and many here including us have gotten great rates with him. He is an agent not an insurance company so he works with a lot of companies around the country. He specializes in finding good rates on spyders and that helps. It is worth a call.

just got off the phone with formost insurance and he and i had a good laugh after agent quoted me 5400 dollars for state minimum^^
i have no ticket and 1 accident that was not my fault

Including me. Recent went from Progressive at $1,000 per year for both bikes/trikes to Marc Fischer/Foremost for $350 per year... slightly better coverage and deductables.

Remember in the Arkansas trip / Triumph wreck thread? I said I would change from Progressive... I did. :D

.

I have Geico...about $650.00 a year but that is for highest limits...they are the best to work with (trust me...I deal with insurance companies all day long!)

We have Foremost/AARP also. We're insuring our Harley Street Glide, Goldwing Trike, my Spyder and my MP3 scooter (until we sell the scooter). They gave us the best deal around here (we're in Missouri). Our insurance comes due in February, so only paid a partial amount when I got my Spyder in October. Think it works out to about $300 for the Spyder, which seems okay.

When we get our bill in January, will shop around as we do every year. :chat:

Maybe we can get a multiple bike discount!!! :yikes:

formost came back with $5400
fischer $1070
progressive $1150
geico $2080
wating on statefarm AAA

no ticket 1 accident not my fault living in los angeles i think bringing premium high

Every company is going to be different in every state. For instance, in Michigan I was unable to get either Gieco or Progressive, I don't remember which one. One of them doesn't insure motorcycle in the state of Michigan even though they do in other states. Also, Foremost is best for most motorcycle in Michigan from what I've heard, but not the spyder.

I paid $163.00 for a year with a $500.00 deductible through American Family. I get multiple discounts though because I have my house, 4 vehicles & a Buell insured with them.
