• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anybody go for a Ride Today? Post about your ride (with pics?)

So, my brother called this morning and asked if I wanted to go to lunch and to Costco with him. How could I pass up a deal like that? He lives about an hour away, so I fired up the Spyder and rode over. We went to Costco and had their Hot Dog special; then visited the sample ladies; bought a few things; and drove back to his house. As it was still quite hot, I loaded my stuff on the Spyder and headed for home. Gas is quite a bit cheaper in Nephi ($3.39) than it is in Spring City where I live, so I fueled there before going home. It was a little cooler on the ride home. That is the longest ride I have taken this year I am ashamed to admit. I don't think I will get my usual 10,000 miles in this year, and maybe not even 5,000 miles. Sorry no pictures.

Today's ride was an effort to toughen up my tush, getting ready for Natural Bridge, VA next week.

From The Treehouse, we headed north northeast to Rainbow City (suburb of Gadsden AL) and breakfast at The Union Jack Cafe, owned and operated by a nice bloke from the UK.

With temps climbing steadily toward 90 degrees F, we headed on familiar backroads to Cherokee Rock Village for a high overview of Lake Weiss, then farther north, along the Little River Canyon.

While lunching at Rim of the Canyon, 10 Harley's came in, and we learned that they are to be in Cherokee NC tonight and riding in "our neck of the woods".

After lunch, the temps were truly 90-91, so a more direct route home exposed us less... a good thing.

Total today was 260 miles, and life is good! (You should be able to zoom in on the photos if desired)
