• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any way to get rid of the Read the card message?

Is there any way to not have this message to be displayed every time you start up ??

I've been seeing that message since July of 2012, so I would say ignore it as I do.

:agree: ..... It's there because the LAWYERS told BRP to add it - - - a CYA .... It's similar to the music you hear while waiting after being put on hold. It lets you know the system is still working.... After I had my DESS turned off, I found that I could just hit the start button with no waiting and the RT would Start..... Mike

I read it the first time, about June 2008. Have not paid attention since.

Ignore it, but it will not go away. BRP has to do a little bit of CYA.

You cannot get rid of it but you also do not have to wait for it. Just press MODE and then start, no need to wait on your 2016.

Yep…..that’s exactly what I did on my ‘16F3 and now do on my ‘21 RT, JC …..no delay necessary.

Mode button to start

Punching the mode button is part of the safety start procedure, right? So the blurb is just reminding you to do that. On the Ryker, you have to reverse twist the throttle to complete the start procedure.

I remember when Ruger first imprinted safety instructions on their single 6's. What a disgrace it was to a great sidearm. I have the same feeling about my spyder and I haven't read the prestart on my RT for so long that I don't remember what it even says. Now I just hit start, try to miss the clunk, and then take off.

As some have stated above, turn key on, push mode button, then push start button. Works this way on 2020 RTL and now on my 2022 F2L Limited.

Add stage 1 or 2, maybe?

Well, when I move to Stage 2 from 1 they couldn't remove the text, only bypass the need to hit the mode button to start, but you still have to hit the mode button to make the damn text go away at some point! Otherwise I'm rydin down the road with it scrolling away.... :-(
