• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any suggestions??

Sorry to say that I'm about burned out with my new 2009 SE-5. I'm in Florida, and the riding weather has been great since I bought it towards the end of November. It started to have shift issues, as many on this board have discussed, right after the 600 mile checkup. I have returned it to the dealer three times, but they will not do anything because the transmission has not stuck in gear during the times that they test drove it. Lamonster was kind enough to forward me a post on this site that shows that there is a fix in service bulletin 2009-1. This fix adds a new gear angle position sensor, a different spring, and a different transmission control module. I have 1,800 miles on it, and they have been scary miles-- not knowing when it will stick in first when coming from a traffic light with a bunch of cars behind.

I'm not new at motorcycles, and have a H-D Road King and a Ducati 1098 as well as the Spyder. So I don't think the problem is with my driving. It seems as if many SE-5 owners have had the problem, and the dealer corrected it. It's an awesome machine, but I'm afraid that I am having some bad luck in getting my problem resolved.

try another dealer
being at the right dealer who is willing to go out of their way to get your spyder fixed makes all the difference.
i had so much problem with my 09 se5 but my first dealer where i bought it from was so bad nothing was getting done but now current dealer have talked to brp about my spyder and alot of problem have been resolved.
next week i am taking spyder in for evap canister, purge valve, and new compound brake pads change, all on BRP.
it seems BRP does not wanna deal with consumer directly on their products , they want dealers input. you telling brp whats wrong with your spyder is not gonna do much. the dealer have to tell them your problem to brp for brp to do anything.
my first dealer did not even believe i was having multiple problem because they could not replicate the problem on their short test ride neither.
so ask around and try another dealer who is willing to do the footwork
