• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Damn this thing gets hot quick in the sun. Any simple covers out there for a 2020 RT? Maybe shorts friendly?

Check these out. Sit N Fly seat covers. I'm not sure if they make one large enough for the Spyder, but I'm going to find out. Great addition to my two wheeled toy. Price was less than $30 shipped. I believe he is in Iowa so it was fast shipping. Downside is he sells on ebay, but can be contacted with questions.

Shorts friendly? Most of us prefer to protect our legs from an unlikely but possible slide down the asphalt with jeans. They also buffer the heat of the seat.

……
I have read of people fashioning them with large towels and elastic bands.

This is what I did.

A large beach towel and a couple of bungees. Boom !! Instant solar protector and deterrent from curious people who have the urge to sit on your ride without permission.

Works great !!

I hate to burst your bubble, but if you slide on the asphalt, jeans will rip instantly and will do you no more good than shorts. At least that's how it was in my case.

Not when they're Kevlar, Aramid, or similar lined (good quality tho, not just cheapies! ;) ) Motorcycle Riding Jeans, preferably with Armour too! You'll get at least a few seconds of slide with them, generally somewhat more from the better quality gear; and the armour protects/minimises impact damage to important joints etc as well!

And as an added bonus, not only will it provide significant protection from blazing hot seats, but if you're wearing it as street gear/work wear, the (better quality) lining in these 'Motorcycle Jeans' & the similarly lined Shirts &/or Jackets will protect the skin areas covered from all but the most serious of stab/slash attempts too!

Just Sayin' ;)

I have the Misty Mountain full size sheepskin. The wife doesn't ride with me much so I might modify it. I'll put it on for her when she does ride. The one thing I don't like about the full size skin is the backrest doesn't slide all the way down which makes it less secure. To solve that issue, I put the metal part that slides down in the seat under the skin, then attached the backrest. I'm still going to modify it though.
