• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any recommendations for a nice, good sized tank bag?

Thx Paul, but looking for something a little bigger. Trying to figure out how to carry enough for an extended trip for two of us, without having to do laundry all the time. Came from a Harley trike and am missing the storage I had on it. I have done a couple of extended trips by myself, but with Momma along I need more room for stuff. I added the trunk rack yesterday and that will help. Most any place we go we have to go through some mountains, so we usually have leathers along. Once temps get back to comfortable the leathers will probably take up that space.

So I don't know of any Tank Bags of the size you are talking about for a Spyder RT or F3. You might look at the Chase Harper 1560, but you would be on your own to figure out mounting.Years ago Ultra Gard made a big bag to fit on the trunk lid of Gold Wings Ventures and Harleys. They still make it. I have one from 30 years ago that I use on the trunk rack on my RT. There are nice adjustable racks available now that sit level, so maybe that would work. I use mine to carry 4 sets of Rain gear ( I carry spares, you can't imagine the number of times I end up riding with people who don't have anything). You might check out some BMW sites, they seem to like large tank bags.but again you would be on your own for mounting. Good luck

For what it's worth I modified a Nelsonrigg's tank bag to fit securely on my RT. Nothing else decent (quality wise) out there that I could find. There's not a lot of room for a tank bag on an RT and virtually nothing to attach it to. Not sure about an F3 but looks like more surface area on them to work with. I/we only use a tank bag on long overnight excursions when we need just that little extra storage space. Is it worth it? Maybe, maybe not?

I can verify the Nelsonrigg tank bags do work if you get the correct one. Just got one for myself on my base model 21 F3. Oh and uhh dont mind the dust, have not washed it yet since pulling out of garage. :)

Even with the small tank bag, you will find that the handlebars hit the bag on some turns. The larger the bag the more cumbersome the tight turns become. Some of the turns in a parking lot you won't be able to make unless you remove the bag.
