• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any other things to check out while replacing windshield arm?

I'm getting ready to replace the windshield arm on a 2011 machine. I have all of the videos and links for that, so I should be good to go. What I'm looking for is suggestions on other things to check out while I have the plastics off. I don't know if the vacuum lines have ever been replaced and I'm planning on checking them out while working on the machine. Is there anything else I should check out while it's apart/plastics are off?

Also, I've noticed the machine is leaking oil, but I don't know where from. Are these notorious for leaking oil from specific locations and if so, are the repairs simple? This is a new machine for me and I'm trying to make myself as familiar as possible with it and know what to look for. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you are in that part of the spyder I would absolutely change to Silicone hoses. .... and consider changing out the spark plug wires or at least check to see what brand wires you have .... the OEM's had high early failure rates .... the other major issue was EXCESSIVE oil in the OEM airbox .... Ask BajaRon about how to remedy this , He came up with putting a GAS filter on the HOSE that came from the engine to the AirBox ..... good luck ... Mike
