Any other round(earth) shaped heads out there that ride motorcycles???

Since not Spyder specific - maybe this is the right forum to get help in choosing a new helmet.

I have spent a gazillion hours internet searching for a new full face motorcycle helmet for a round head shape. Zero success. Plan to try on / buy locally, after I can find some helmet choices or a choice.

All of the round head helmets listed by webbikeworld are years old.

The manufacturers have determined that the masses have oval head shapes.

I presently switch between two helmets: Arai Quantum II (perfect fit) and an HJC IS-16 Spector (good enough fit). Arai Quantum II is at end of life, with HJC soon to follow. Arai has chosen not to do round heads any longer, along with everyone else. HJC now just seems to make intermediate OVAL or narrower.

Any recommendations?????

It helped me narrow down my hunt so I could try on locally what I thought would work best

:agree: and my tactic is to go the the biggest bike shops and try them all Then price shop online, though revzilla has great prices. Though about putting your head in a vise and making it oval..:roflblack::roflblack:

Try Nolan - used to be very round...

Try a Shoei Multitec the XL fits my round head, and avoid Scorpion unless you like the head in a vice feeling.:sour:

They can get your out of the vise, before you make the newspapers!

+1 for Revzilla recommendation. Besides the videos, they have a rating scale for reviewers to show what people think of the shape of helmets. I have found their people on the phone very helpful when trying to decide on gear.

I now, at least, have choices: Arai RXQ, HJC CL-17, HJC IS-17 plus maybe more as I explore more helmet reviews on webbikeworld. As it turns out the staff at webbikeworld all have round heads - go figure - just need to spend time reading reviews.

I did contact Rezilla and they recommended the RXQ (spot on wyliec) as closest to quantum replacement for fit and webbikeworld agrees.
