• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WANTED TO SEE IF ANYONE HAD ANY NEW INSIDE NEWS ON THE SE5 UNITS? ANAY NEW DATES FOR DIS-TRO-BU-TION?

:welcome:

I'm a pre-order SE5 customer also. Based on the latest updated BRP news, there is no actual initial delivery date for SE5, but there is a date that any orders placed before Feb 29th should be available.... Sept 30th.

YOu are one of many of us SE5 customers looking for "any" news about these semi-automatic roadsters. Nothing has been released. There was one mistaken e-mail to another SE5 customer officially from BRP that said his order would be delivered in May.... Further clarification in a more recent e-mail from BRP says that he was mistaken for an SM5. However, the e-mail did know the SE5 customer's certificate number, (a good sign).

My bet is still on early June they will start to be coming off the line. I'm hoping that someone who goes to HOMECOMING AT VALCOURT will see SE5's in production line, or ask a question about them. And I am also hoping that someone, whenever a spokesman from BRP Spyder has another on-line or radio talk session, will ask about the SE5 as well and see if we can get more info.

I guess we both have to just wait and see.

I've got some more fingers for you.....CROSSED, of course! ;D

I'm still cautiously optimistic about mid August for a delivery date. I'm the one that was initially sent an email stating that my SE5 would be have a late May delivery, but they later retracted that, and went back to the September 30th date. All we can do is hope for an early release.

Still waiting on release info for the RED SM5... All the info I have is an order number and Sept 30th or before delivery date.. Wish I could have mine by the end of June but seems unrealistic..

I was the first official order from a dealer in NC but not going to be the 1st to actually purchase and obtain my unit from them.. They got their demo 2 weeks ago and the are expecting 2 yellows and 2 silver in the next 2 weeks but no word on my RED.. Makes me wish I would have ordered a different color but the red caught my attention so I dedided to wait.. They now have a total of 9 on order but the owner said once mine comes in I will be officially recognized on the wall as the 1st official Spyder owner form their store.. It's pretty cool to see their picture wall of buyers for various reasons..

BRP does a crappy job keeping us informed as buyers but seems satisfaction once the :spyder: is delivered is very high ...

SM5 is the one they have out now, the standard manual shift 5 speed tranny. SE5 is the pushbutton shift tranny that they are slated to delivery in the fall of 2008.

Hey, I put my money down on an SE5 back in December. Do you have any "inside information" about US getting it any sooner than August?

I saw this post also on the BRP site. I wonder how accurate it will end up being. If it is, anyone expecting August deliveries will be disappointed. I know BRP changes those delivery dates often it seems. That is what happened with the first Premier Editions. Of course, those came out later than promised, so I guess we will see.
