• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any issues using Iphone with BRP Connect Apps?

When BRP connect works, the apps work as advertised. BRP connect is a temperamental beast. Works well for some, but I find the nav apps interface clumsy and non intuitive. 1/2 dash screen is too small for effective navigation.

I plug in to keep the phone charged and the music interface is ok. I’ll likely be adding a larger screen dedicated GPS for touring outside my local area.

BRP Connect acts like its in the 3rd month of development, not the 3rd year of actual use. nojoke

Amen, brother. More code written by children. I don't know how many times I've explained to BRP where the problems are, and yet they still won't fix them.

The apps that work with BRP C are fine and can be used on their own. The two GPS apps (Sygic & Genius Maps) are easy to use and way faster than Garmins. The way you can modify a route in Google Maps desktop by dragging the highlighted route to another road, can be done with Sygic or Genius on the smartphone. Rever is only a tracking app on the bike but can be used for navigation on the phone. They are making it work as navigation but I think, with a few other glitches, that BRP needs to get their head out of their a$$ and do some updating.

I enjoy SiriusXM along with Sygic and love Rever as a tracking app producing 3D videos.

BRP connect works like a 10 year old navigation system. Will only work thru your phone. Might as well use google maps, my phone screen is bigger and I don't have to open the frunk to make changes to the map. If you plug your phone into the usb port the blue tooth won't work so you can't use pandora or others. My radio reception is like an old AM radio. BRP definitely has their head up their ass on this one.

That's what has always puzzled me. If it is connected to Bluetooth, WHY does it need to be connected to USB????

Data and screen image are used by the cable as it's too much for bluetooth. Dash cams use WiFi when downloading video to the phone. Bluetooth is really only good for sounds.

I can have SiriusXM playing as well as BRP C and you really don't want to try making routed in the dash as the phone is easier, but you can. I actually mount the phone on top of the dash for easier accessibility.

Is you XM radio thru your phone or thru the Spyder radio? I assume it is thru the Spyder radio because it works when your phone is connected with USB. My bluetooth won't work when I connect thru USB.

Bluetooth is separate from the cable. Two different connections. Data and screen images are from the cable.

Any sound whether music or GPS directions, are piped to the bike's system via bluetooth from the phone. If you get SiriusXM or Spotify playing then turn the bike on the FM will crank up then if you switch to bluetooth like in the video, you'll get the phone music. Sometimes, when I plug it in and start BRP C, I can just go to the to the music app and just start playing what was already playing. Sometimes I can get BRP C going and the phone music keeps playing. Kinda weird but play with it and you should get the idea. If you have the audio out set to speakers then thats where the music will come out from.

Not sure you answered my question. Is your XM radio subscription on your phone or do you have the XM radio on the spyder?

I have a subscription for my car and it includes free for the phone. I pay $14 a month. Don't know what Spotify or Dash Radio or other apps cost. I believe Amazon Prime has music?
