• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any info on adjusting rear trunk/top case latch on '20+ RTL?

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the explanation of how you did it. I hadn't been able to find how to dismantle the top case in my service manual, but since getting your post, I went out to the bike and studied the rear light panel and, since you had talked about removing it, found the pair of plastic rivets that made that light panel come right off, quite easily.

I think I can fix it from this point - like you said, I'll do the trial & error process you described till I get it to a sane amount of force to latch the lid. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Hello Again Mike,
Using your technique (removing the rear light panel from the top case to access the latch adjusting bolts) has worked for me. I did just like you suggested - multiple tries, that, like you said you had experienced, finally resulted in a better latching experience. Not smooth and desirable, but not as bad as before. Surely appreciate your advice.
Regards, PatrickH
